Do you want to make a cookout, party, or picnic with your family? Unfortunately, they are too busy to go to the beach. What about holding a simple party in the backyard? We have good weather at night in summer. BBQ party, Cocktail party, or other kinds of stuff will be more fun in your backyard. We have to change the look of it. Building a fire pit with hanging chairs might be a brilliant idea. Check out how to make it further below!
First, you have to prepare the materials. Pick up landscape fabric, landscape edging, concrete bricks, Sika post hole foam, fire pit bowl insert, gravel, chairs, and hanging chairs. Buy them from a store. You will need lumber of various sizes; two pieces of 4×4 10 ft posts, one piece of 4×4 6ft post, and two pieces of 2×6 10 ft. Then, You have to collect tools like a shovel, wheelbarrow, a post hole digger, rake, power drill, miter saw, and level.
Second, you can start to build the fire pit. You should figure out the spot. Insert a piece of metal at the center. Make a circle of 15 feet in diameter. Dig the hole according to the circle that you have made before. Cover the entire area with landscape fabric. Then, install the plastic edging around it. Grab the bricks and build the fire pit with three layers of bricks. Place the firepit bowl on the layered bricks. Then you will see that the fire pit is ready.
Third, spread the gravel around the landscape fabric. Dig two post holes and insert two 10 feet 4×4 posts. Add Sika foam or cement to make those posts more durable. Then, build the pergola using some 4×4 blocks. Attach the metal rings to hang the chairs. Place the chairs around the fire pit. You can see the video of instructions from Kat Swisher here.
