Material :
- Eggshells
- Spoon or Small knife
- Lavender Essential Oil
- Candle Wick
- Adhesive
- Purple Food Coloring
- Water
- Vinegar
- Soy Wax Flakes (1 Cup)
How To Do It :
1 Use a spoon or small knife to tap the top of the egg lightly. Then, carefully empty the egg and peel off the top of the shell.
While peeling off the top shell of the egg, don’t worry if you didn’t get the perfect or neat shape. In fact, let it messy, because it will give a unique and natural shape. Wash and cleans the inside and outside of the egg, be careful and don’t break the shell. And let the shell until it dries completely.
2 Mix 1 Cup of Water with 1 tbsp vinegar plus 3-5 drops (depending on the brightness that you want) of food coloring. Stir the mixture until it smooth and mix well.
3 Dye the outside of the eggshell by dipping the shell into the mixture. And before you dip the eggshell, try to cover the inside of the egg so it will not get dyed accidentally.
After that, wait for the Dye on the eggshell dry.
4 While waiting for the eggshell to dry, melt soy candle in double boiler or microwave. After the soy candle melts completely, the get lavender essential oil and drop 2-4 of the oil to the soy candle. Stir until it mixed well.
5 Place candle wicks with an adhesive in the center of the eggshell.
You can create an adhesive with glue dots.
6 Lastly, use an egg carton to hold the egg. Then, carefully pour the wax into the eggs and wait for around three hours for the wax to harden. And your candle is ready to use.
